Behind each tiny shophouse design lies countless hours of sketching, modeling, printing, and failing. Windows too thin. Roofs that warped. Details lost to overhangs. We’ve restarted and re-printed more times than we can count — because we believe every detail matters.

From the curve of a Peranakan archway to the shadow behind a column — each feature has been tested, refined, and reimagined, again and again.

At Senmu, every shophouse night light is more than just a nostalgic piece — it’s also a conscious choice for the future.

We use PLA (polylactic acid) filament, a plant-based bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, PLA is biodegradable under industrial conditions and has a much lower environmental footprint.

A renewable, eco-friendly material
A smooth, detailed finish ideal for architectural forms
Less waste in the printing process
